Way Finders’ Turning Point is a permanent supportive housing program that provides 9 young parents (pregnant or parenting), ages 18-24 who are both homeless and either recovering from a diagnosed substance abuse problem or diagnosed with a mental health disability, with their own apartment in a building in Holyoke, MA.

 

HomeBASE

HomeBASE is a state of Massachusetts program for homeless families. You must be referred into this program. HomeBASE helps families who have been found eligible for Emergency Assistance Family Shelter by providing up to $30,000 over a 2-year period, with the possibility of a 3rd year of help. If your family is found eligible for the EA Family Shelter program, you may be invited to apply.

SNO Mass Program

Supporting Neighborhood Opportunity in Massachusetts (SNO Mass) helps families with school-aged children use their Housing Choice Vouchers to move to communities that offer greater opportunity. These communities have higher quality schools, parks and open space, and safer, healthier environments overall.

Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program is a federally funded affordable housing subsidy program. Tenants under the program rent apartments directly from landlords and pay a portion of the monthly rent based on their adjusted monthly income. Way Finders pays the remaining balance of the rent directly to the owner.
