Way Finders helps individuals and families find and secure housing.

Our communities are facing a real and enduring housing crisis, both in terms of availability and affordability. We serve those seeking housing help in Hampden, Hampshire, and Franklin counties in a variety of ways. This section will guide you to the resources you need if you are facing a housing emergency or need a rental housing subsidy.

Note: While we are the region’s oldest and largest housing nonprofit, our staffing resources are limited. It can take up to three business days to respond to requests for housing help. Your patience and understanding are appreciated.

Help for renters

Do you:

  • Need emergency help with overdue rent or utility bills?
  • Want to apply for a housing subsidy?
  • Face housing discrimination?
  • Have a housing subsidy and want to save money for a home purchase or other financial milestones?

Way Finders works with state and federal programs to help you find emergency and other assistance to address these challenges.

Experiencing homelessness?

Way Finders supports those who are experiencing homelessness with brief counseling, housing search support and assistance with applying for RAFT for move-in costs. Way Finders does not directly shelter homeless individuals, but we will offer shelter referral information. We do manage family shelter units in our region. Families must get a referral from the EOHLC to reside in one of the shelters we manage.
